Article: Technology Killed Hip Hop

Recently, Zak Koeske from The Windy City Hip Hop Project met up with a few Chicago artists, bloggers, promoters, and business owners in the hip hop community to talk about several topics that have effected the music industry.  The Bassment in Wicker Park participated in the discussion of how the internet and digital downloading has effected business and personal interaction in the store. U Dot Fam's Esohel gave his 2 cents on how things have changed in the last decade for independent artists trying to promote themselves and sell their music, reflecting The Guttahouse's opinions on the subject as well. This article is very insightful and a must read.

PLA "Supplier" ( RMX)

U Dot Fam's PLA has been laying low in the lab to bring the fiends out for that good. After the baggies ended up empty and the smoke cleared the outcome was "Supplier", and it delivers. PLA puts his twist on Gucci Mane's "Kush Is My Cologne" with this cut and provides the soundtrack to a hazed out ride. This is the first leak off of PLA's Untitled 2 Mixtape which is set to drop September 14 for free download. Untitled 2 will feature the entire U Dot Fam along with production from PLA.
